I have some of my old notes with me today on the Boardwalk.  Ones ten-year-old and they begin with, “Shyness is not inherited, like introversion or extroversion. Shyness develops because of poor communication skills with groups. Maybe, like in my case, there were no extroverts around to learn outgoing communication skills from. And many of my needs were met in my home and no one suspected anything was missing.” So I didn’t learn and didn’t receive help. Does this ring a bell for anyone?
